It\nis not uncommon to hear in church, \u2018I got promoted by the grace of God.\u2019 I\nremember asking a senior minister of the gospel what the secret to his success\nand impact in ministry was, and his answer to me was \u2018Jesus is my secret.\u2019<\/p>
Now,\nwhat do you do with an answer like that? How do I explain the failures of many\nwho have Jesus, just like this senior minister of God? His answer, though true,\nis too simplistic. His answer was not empowering. I could not walk away knowing\nexactly what to do to replicate his success and more. May be such an answer is\na deliberate way to keep the \u2018secret\u2019 of his success from others so they remain\nunempowered and forever dependent!<\/p>
Others\nalso attribute their success to the favour of God. The Bible clearly states\nthat every child of God is in favour with God (2 Corinthians 5:19). And yet not\nall God\u2019s children are enjoying success. This dichotomy has engaged my\nattention for a long time and through study, meditation and relentless pursuit\nof answers, God has enlightened my mind to clearly see the place and role of\nman in God\u2019s program in the earth.<\/p>
The question\nI want you to think hard on is this: what does God promote? What does God\nsupport?<\/p>
Many\nare of the erroneous belief that to be promoted in life depends ONLY on what\ngoes on in church buildings. They believe they can get promotion simply by\ntheir offering, financial seed or by claiming a prophecy.<\/p>
This\nwrong notion is unfortunately producing believers with wrong beliefs and\nmind-sets when it comes to success and influence in the earth. Many believers\nhave concluded that the offering they give in church will compensate for their\nincompetence at work. Does God promote incompetence and laziness? The church\nmust wake up! Many Christians are literally sitting on the greatness within\nthem largely because they have not understood why God made man on the earth.\nUnderstanding the purpose of man on the earth will change you forever. God made\nthe earth and made His image (man) and authorized him to run the earth.\nTherefore, when it comes to life on earth, man is the key.<\/p>
To\nthink that there will be changes in your life without you changing means you\nare already deceived. When God gets involved in your life you ought to be\nbetter. God is not a minus or a disadvantage to your life. Partnering God ought\nto make you creative, energized, productive, competent and excellent.<\/p>
God Promotes Hard Work<\/strong><\/p> Some\nministers of the Gospel, in proclaiming the message of grace, sometimes posit\nthat hard work was abolished together with the law (Mosaic laws), with the\ncoming into effect of the dispensation of grace. They have \u2018marketed\u2019 the\nGospel as an invitation to a vacation \u2013 rest from all work. It is therefore not\na wonder when some believe that being favoured by God means doing less work.\nGod made man to work on purpose. When you stop working you start waning.<\/p> Every\npromotion you require is scheduled into your capacity to deliver rare value.\nLet your quest to deliver results shape the way you think and live.<\/p> God Promotes Excellence<\/strong><\/p> Excellence\nwill always be noticed. Your promotion is in becoming excellent because\npromotion is embedded in excellence. I don\u2019t care where you work; no one can\nkeep excellent work in obscurity for long. It will be noticed. Focus on\nbecoming excellent at what you do. It was the excellent spirit in both Daniel\nand Joseph that secured their place at the top.<\/p> Keep\npushing, stretching and striving towards becoming an excellent person and doing\nexcellent things.
