The truth of life is this: what you engage is what you receive. \u00a0\u201cAnd from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth (or allows) violence, and the violent take it by force”<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Matthew 11:12 (parenthesis mine).\u00a0It is clear from the scripture that what you don\u2019t take you won\u2019t have.<\/p>\n

Many people erroneously think that when they become financially prosperous they will be successful in every other area of their lives. No sir!\u00a0 Success in one area of life is not automatic success in every other area of life.<\/p>\n

Ephesians 3:10 –\u00a0\u201cTo the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God\u201d.\u00a0<\/strong> The scripture declares that God\u2019s wisdom is manifold, or many-sided. So you see, you need to engage a specific wisdom of God to enjoy a specific victory Christ has procured for you through the death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour.<\/p>\n

Ecclesiastes 9:14 – \u201cThere was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Are you confronted with a seemingly impossible problem?\u00a0 This little city with few men was confronted with a great king.\u00a0 The king besieged the little city and built a great bulwark against it. There seemed to be no way out for this little city – it simply didn\u2019t stand a chance.\u00a0 It was against this background that the Bible said in verse 15 \u201cNow there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man\u201d.
\nIs it possible to have a poor wise man?\u00a0 The wise man engaged his wisdom to deliver the city, yet he never engaged his wisdom for his prosperity.\u00a0 This is why I say success in an area of life is not an automatic success in other areas of life.\u00a0 David, like this poor man, delivered the entire nation of Israel from Goliath and the Philistines. He was just a shepherd boy at the time, but unlike the poor man he negotiated his prize for fighting and defeating Goliath, and subsequently became a prominent person. The poor man, on the other hand, did not cure his poverty by engaging wisdom.\u00a0 You need to engage the many-sided wisdom of God for all-round success.<\/p>\n

The story continues in\u00a0 verse 16; \u201cThen said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard\u201d<\/strong>. When the poor wise man engaged his wisdom for the deliverance of his city, he prevailed; but because he did not engage wisdom for prosperity, he remained poor.<\/p>\n

You need not remain poor – not after God\u2019s eternal sacrifice of His Son for your total well-being.\u00a0 Engage the specific wisdom of God for specific victories; engage and take it by force.\u00a0\u00a0 The word of God is the documented wisdom of God and it covers every area of endeavour.
