The reason we read, study and meditate on the Word is so that we can walk in the light of what we receive from God\u2019s Word. Anytime God gives you a revelation in His Word, He demands an action on your part. The real challenges in life are not the storms that may confront you but rather how well prepared you are to overcome them. This is why you must build your life on the word of God.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a02 Timothy 3:16 says, \u201cAll scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness\u201d (KJV).\u00a0Reproof, Correction and Instruction in righteousness can be broadly categorized as instructions. From this passage therefore, we can see that\u00a0\u00be\u00a0of all scripture serves as instructions for us. The main purpose of the Word is to show you how to live your life. Therefore,\u00a0if you have no plans of doing the Word, then the Bible is not the book for you.<\/p>\n
Matthew 7:24-25\u00a0(The Message Translation) Luke 6:47-48\u00a0say, You\u00a0must come; you\u00a0must hear\u00a0and you\u00a0must do His\u00a0sayings; yet coming, hearing and doing Jesus\u2019 word will not exempt you from the storms, but will exempt you from being destroyed by them. When the Word becomes flesh in you, the storms that beat vehemently upon you cannot even shake you.\u00a0 There is a way to act on the Word of God in every area of your life.\u00a0 Those who do not want to be washed away by the storms and floods of life, but want to become significant representations of God and His Kingdom in the earth, are those who are really serious about walking in the light of God\u2019s Word. You cannot walk in the Word you do not know. This is why we hear, read, study and meditate on the Word of God. Therefore,\u00a0take personal responsibility to know the truth of God\u2019s Word and make an eternal commitment to walk in the light it.\u00a0When you do that, you will not only preserve your life, but also the lives of others.<\/p>\n What will happen if you are not a doer of the Word?\u00a0 Jesus answered that in Matthew 7:26-27: So you see, it is not how fast you build that matters but how well you build.<\/p>\n Building upon the rock is doing the Word.\u00a0 The Message Translation captured this beautifully in Matthew 7:13, 14 & 21<\/strong> It is very clear that we should not use the shortcut and the easy way out for a successful life, which is the favorite of many. Becoming an enduring success requires vigorous and total attention to the Word. You need to give yourself to doing the Word. Let the Word be the reason for what you do. In whatever you find yourself doing \u2013whether as a carpenter, doctor, politician, businessman\/woman, educationist, policeman, banker, mason, pastor or any area of calling, let the Word be your life and light.<\/p>\n Beloved, which of the builders would you rather be, the wise or the foolish?\u00a0 Jesus has already shown us the end of both builders. However, merely wishing you want to be a wise builder does not make you one. \nIt is your duty to work the Word of God into your life. This is what will make you outlive your challenges whilst others lose their lives\u2019 work and sometimes their very lives. You will be smiling at the storm if your life is built on the truth of God\u2019s Word: you will simply be indestructible.<\/p>\n
\n\u201c47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:\u00a0<\/strong>
\n48\u00a0\u00a0 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
