There are a lot of things that can be studied about the kingdom of God. However, knowing that the kingdom of God is the person of the Holy Spirit is germane to your understanding of the kingdom. God helped me to see the Holy Spirit as not just the power but as the power person of the Godhead. He is a person to relate with, and if you are going to make the kingdom of God your focus this year, I would like to help you see how critical spending time to know him is to your success.
In Luke 17:20, Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God should come. His response was, “the kingdom of God is within you.” The implication of this statement was that he was the kingdom person among them. Before his ascension, he spoke to his disciples about things pertaining to the kingdom of God and how they should wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father, which is the baptism with the Holy Spirit. Incidentally, Acts 1:6 records the disciples asking Jesus if he would at that time restore the kingdom to Israel again. In his response, he emphasized, “It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” Jesus was the kingdom personality when he walked on the earth, and if the kingdom had to continue with his departure, he had to introduce another Kingdom personality just like him.

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
This implies that the Holy Spirit is the kingdom and the womb into the kingdom. Jesus told Nicodemus, “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” The Spirit of God personifies the kingdom. The kingdom is the dominion and absolute rule of God. It is the place where God’s absolute rule is unchallenged and unquestioned. Whenever the kingdom is manifested, contrary circumstances are subdued. Jesus said in Matthew 12:28, “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.” When the Spirit of God, the power person of the Godhead, is engaged, embraced and allowed to operate, there will be dominion, and the power of God will be seen.
Your Active Wisdom
Jesus told his disciples, “And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” In other words, the Holy Spirit becomes your active wisdom. This can only happen when you fellowship with him and press into him. When he becomes your active wisdom, there is no challenge that can overwhelm you and no situation that can make you commit suicide. When he becomes your active wisdom, you are more than able to resolve any challenge you are confronted with.

And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness…
And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
Unlocking the Power through Fellowship
It took forty days and forty nights for Jesus to unlock the power of the Holy Spirit. He entered the wilderness full of the Spirit. Yet, the scriptures had no account of him being full of power prior to his return from the wilderness after forty days and nights. As the God incarnate, he waited thirty years to be full of the Spirit, and when he was full of the Spirit, he isolated himself to fellowship with this Spirit he had been filled with. His theme in the wilderness was the fellowship with the fullness he had received. In verse 14 of the same chapter, he returned in the power; he had unlocked the power of the Holy Spirit through solitary intimacy and fellowship. He unlocked the power of the Holy Spirit through uninterrupted fellowship and maintained it through daily communion with God. God’s inheritance and blessing for you is not houses and cars but the Holy Spirit. The blessing of God is to bring you to a place where dominion is unlocked through fellowship with the Spirit. When this happens you can buy without money and live where there is no life. If you would commit to unbridled attention and unbroken fellowship with God, you will return with company – he is called the Holy Spirit, the power person of the Godhead.
